Turks : Do you want to be added to the EU?

I'm not a Turk, but I have family living there, but I hope you will allow me to answer if that's ok. All I want to say is that if you look at all the other countries, Germany, Ireland, Spain and Greece for instance they're all in dire financial trouble plus the euro has made everything so very expensive for them. Personally, I think the only ones who want the euro are the big business men who import/export so a single currency make it easier for them. Spoken to lots of Turkish people and none of them want it.........can't honestly see the normal, everyday Turkish person benefiting from being added to the EU.
