What would be great cruiser style motorcycle to start with?

I am 16 about 5'6 and 113lbs small build, and am looking for a beginner bike. I have a little experience from driving my dad's 1982 Yamaha Seca 750 and I've driven his 2007 Harley Davidson Road King a few times (To heavy thou), but we've decided I need another bike that would be easier to drive and learn from. I am looking for a cruiser type bike (I hate the look of sports bikes :P), something that will have no problem handling highways, and below $3,000 either new or used. I don't mind vintage bikes, so an older model will be fine. Although I probably won't drive this bike forever, I am still growing, which is why I ruled the Honda Rebel 250 out, so keep that in mind while giving me ideas. Also people have told me that a big 1100cc cruiser would be easy to drive after some practice, but I would like to have at least a chance of picking the bike up if I drop it, hahaha, so anything like a small-medium Cruiser. My suggestion is to NEVER buy a new bike as your first bike. You WILL drop it and do other damage. Wait till you have been riding for a year then buy a new one if you must. There are way too many people out there trying to get rid of there toys for dirt cheap to go out and get a new one that you can expect to damage. If you dont trust your judgement on a used bike find a good mechanic and negotiate a price to have him check the bike for you as you are looking about. But they never look the same as they would if they were dry cleaned. So maybe the answer to your question lies in where you plan to wear these trousers and just how nice you want to look when you do. Swollen lymph nodes in a 4 yr old?

I took my son to the dentist in Feb. he is 4 and he needed some cavities filled and needed a crown on a tooth, they gave him some laughing gas to ease his nerves. Right after we got home from the dentist I noticed a lump on the base of his neck, I figure maybe he had his neck wrong or because he was tense he has a tense muscle and I really didnt give it a second thought. Well not even a week later it was still there, well I noticed he had another swollen spot under his left ear on the same side as the other lump. I took him to the minor care center and all of his blood work came back normal and they said from him coming from the dentist and having that lump that he more then likely had an infection. They also said they may not ever go down, and after he sees his pcp they may want to biopsy them to make sure that they are not cancerous even though he believes they arent since they didnt just come up they were there right after his dentist appt. He also said that even with the antibiotics that they might never go down. Well he took some really strong antibiotics for two weeks and they went down a whole lot. But they are still there, due to insurance issues I have not been able to take him back to the doctor but I will be able to do it now Monday. I'm worried that they could be cancerous? He eats normal, he isnt sleepy, no night sweats and like I said all of his blood work came back normal even his plat. count. Could it be maybe that he still has an infection or could he just always have swollen lymph nodes. The doctor said that he they just came about for no reason then he would have admitted him into the er right then and there but because they came right after the dentist that they are an infection. Has anyone else had this happen or know anything about lymph nodes? I have looked on web md and have not really found anything. Any help would be great thanks

VMS4 DJ Eqpt. & Airport Security?

I am planning on brining a VMS4 DJ unit (a USB controller/mixer). It is platted steel, which means that it will show up as a huge white block on x-ray machines at the airport. I am traveling pretty far, Chicago to Bangkok, so I will go through security more than once. I thought it would be a bad idea to put it into a suitecase, being at risk they will crack open the suite case to see what the huge metalic box is on their x-rays. Can I use any kind 20W50 motor oil in my motorcycle, even if its not specified as motorcycle oil?

I purchased several bottles of Castrol 20W50 High Mileage Synthetic oil for my motorcycle, and then the next day I saw the section for just motorcycle oils, and was wondering if it really mattered. The manual says to use 20w50 oil w/ detergent, and this Castrol high Mileage stuff meets the criteria, but I guess technically it is a automobile lubricant. Do you think it would cause problems in my bike? It's a 2000 Ural Tourist, 4 stroke, 2 cylinder 650cc and the same oil is used in both the main chassis and gear box.

Motorcycle trade: tank dent vs fairing damage which is worse.?

I met somebody today who wanted to trade motorcycles with me and I really have something to think about. I have an 08 Ninja 250r with some fairing scratches and cracks on both sides, they have an 09 with a quarter sized dent on the top of the tank from a "tree falling on it." This seems like it is more of a win situation for me, but in your opinion is a tank dent any worse than fairing damage? If I'm on probation, can I switch to house arrest?

I had a DUI a couple months back which involved me crashing my motorcycle. I had the option of house arrest and a 6-12 month license suspension or 6 months of probation and a 60 day license impoundment. I chose my probation because then I can get my license back quicker and be back on my motorcycle quicker. Turns out my license is suspended for 6 months anyways do to too many points being removed. If a US citizen marries with a Turkis citizen does she automatically gain Turkish work and residence permit for being married with a Turkish citizen? What is the situation of their children younger than 18 from a past marriage? Will these children too get the same rights with their mom married with a Turkish citizen. Can these children continue their education here in Turkey?

So I've been thinking about buying a motorcycle and heard the Ninja 250r is a great starter bike because the engine isn't too powerful, and easy to learn on. What's the maximum speed on one? hey guys and girl just wanted to know what people think on this as i have both consoles and love both systems for diffrent reasons the achievments offer you points on every game and was there since the begining but i feel the platinum trophy is more consistant as the 1000G now is abit dated and alot more games push over this which i find good in ways but bad in many others as i know that when i have 1000G it goes on my completed list then as soon as DLC is out then if there are achievement upgrades then my game on my list is gone and im forced to purchuse DLC if i wanna get it back on that litte "i destroyed that game" shelf i prefer the plat only for the reason that i dont need DLC to unlock it and wont need to pay more for a game i own to get it all done but this is obviously just my opinion any other ones are open and hope this question gets answered without the fanboy approach

Ehm, that's MY horses mane!?

I have a pony named Robbie, and he had this gorgeous mane, it was so long and thick and it is snowy white. I think it's his best feature. Me and my family went away for a week and left him in the capable hands of our horsey friends, with the instructions that noone could ride him apart from them and the woman who owns the yard. When we got to our destination, the woman who owns the yard calls me and says "One of the riding school horses has fallen sick, and I was wondering if I could use Robbie for an own-a-pony day?" (an own-a-pony day is where children who use the riding school for lessons can have a pony for the day and they groom and clean tack etc.) I wasn't going to be using him as I was in another country, so I said of course, as long as the family looking after him wouldn't need to use him. So a little girl from the riding school was assigned Robbie, and all was fine until they were given a 'manes and tails' lesson. They were platting, thinning and doing MINOR trimming. Well, the little girl who rode Robbie didn't understand minor, and cut a *TRIANGLE* out of his mane! It is unsalvageable, I may need to hog him if I ever want him to look normal until it grows in. I don't think this is fair, seeing as I lent him to the riding school for a day, an he is a show horse. It has really angered me, especially as she just left me to find out, didn't call me and say there had been an incident. I was wondering, do you think I should complain to the owner of the yard, or just leave it?

My samsung plasma HD 720 tv use to play amazing on my ps3. Then about 8 mounths ago my freind pulled the HDMI cable out of the tv and plugged it back in (While the ps3 system was turned on) and now it looks like total **** now like 480i. Best caribbean destination?

My husband and I are starting to think about next year's vacation. We would like to go sometime in May. It remains to be seen if we will be able to afford Hawaii, which is my first choice of destination. My second choice would be somewhere in the eastern or south eastern caribbean. My only concern about flying in and staying on a caribbean island would be running out of activities and things to do. I am sure we would spend some time laying on the beach...but you can only do that for so many days. I would also want to do alot of sightseeing and possibly be able to rent a self-guided boat (no guide) for a day to go explore on our own. Does anyone know of any islands that have a wide array of sightseeing and activities? I had Turks/Caicos and USVI at the top of my list. Would either of those be good? Thanks!

Maplestory Crashes 20-60 seconds after i log in - Why?

I run a 64-bit Vista with 6GB RAM dual core processor and 600GB HD space (i think 313GB left) and have never had this problem before. However, now, whenever i log into the game, I have enough time to go to the jesters room and get onto the top left plat - But whenever i use slashstorm, MS crashes. I don't know if its random or anything, but its really annoying. Its not just once or twice - i've loaded the game about 8 times now and the same thing keeps happening, + or - a few seconds. Does anyone know why this is happening? or how i can stop it?

I dont think he's cheating at all. I understand how you feel cuz I struggle with jealousy too. Ive found it best to keep any and all jealousy feelings away from my spouse. I vent them to friends, journal about them but I do my best to not share them with him because it is a relationship killer.
