A question for the US citizens married with Turks in Turkey?

If a US citizen marries with a Turkis citizen does she automatically gain Turkish work and residence permit for being married with a Turkish citizen? What is the situation of their children younger than 18 from a past marriage? Will these children too get the same rights with their mom married with a Turkish citizen. Can these children continue their education here in Turkey?
